1. Make up lessons must be completed before the end date of the package.
2. Any cancellations that are made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a makeup lesson.
3. Any cancellations that are made 24 hours in advance are eligible for a specific amount of make up lessons depending on the package:
4 lesson package: 1 make up lesson
6 lesson package: 2 make up lessons
8 lesson package: 3 make up lessons
12 lesson package: 4 make up lessons
4. Cancellations made by the student on the day of the lesson for whatever reason will be billed without eligibility for a make up lesson.
5. If the lesson is cancelled by the teacher it will be made up at a time to suit the student.
1. Payments should be made before or on the day of the start of each lesson package.
2. There will be a penalty fee of 200AED for overdue payments of 14 days.
3. Music books and other materials should be purchased by the student/parent, as advised by the teacher.
1.Freezing a lesson package is possible only by giving at least a week's notice to the teacher.
2.Notice will be given in advance if the teacher is unable to teach due to a holiday and will make up lessons / give a credit accordingly.
1. Four weeks’ notice is required to discontinue lessons.
2. If you wish to discontinue lessons during paid sessions, any fees paid will be forfeited if the lessons don't continue up to the end of the contracted period.
3. Where a student persistently cancels lessons for whatever reasons, or fails to turn up for lessons with no contact, the teacher reserves the right to terminate their lessons.
1. Mastering an instrument is 80% practice and 20% musical talent. Students should practise regularly – preferably every day. Short, frequent practice is the most effective way to learn, especially for beginners.
2. Students must have access to a suitable instrument, which is properly maintained (i.e. tuned regularly) or a touch-sensitive electronic keyboard or digital piano with weighted keys, on which to practise. A dedicated stool or chair, preferably adjustable, is also important. The teacher will be more than happy to provide recommendations if needed.
3. If the student regularly does no practice, is disrespectful, is disrupting the lesson and/or shows no significant progress, the teacher holds the right to discontinue the lessons.
4. Monthly Progress Reports will be Issued by the teacher.
1. Parents are encouraged to show a genuine interest in their child’s learning, to encourage their child (or children) to practice regularly, following the teacher’s guidelines and instructions, and to be patient about their expectations. Parental patience, interest and encouragement often are critical factors whether a student retains his or her interest in music, and often will make the difference between a good student and a great student.
